Disable Madrid Open, event which celebrates its eighth edition and has become one of the most important of the season in the calendar of the Madrid Golf Federation.
The tournament will be played on 19 and 20 September in the emblematic area of El Encino Golf Hotel. Located in Alcalá de Henares and opened in 2011, is a long, modern and very demanding golf course, this 18 hole course allows users enjoy the spectacular views offered by the environment, thanks to its location on the outskirts of the Humosa Saints.
This course, with the hallmark of Mr. Von Hagge Smelek & Baril, tests the skills of the most seasoned players with different tests and obstacles that make up the tour.
El Encín Golf Hotel has been host to the Madrid Masters 2011 plus two Challenge Tour events.
Who can participate? Can take part those who are in possession of the license in force and also the certificate of official disability of 33 or higher, or absolute inability, or the «Medical Pass» awarded by EDGA (European Disabled Golf Association), either on a permanent basis as revisable, being the latter accepted as long as it have validity in the year 2015.
The tournament will be divided into three categories:
-Absolute: Exceeding 14.4 handicap players. It will be held to 36 holes over two consecutive days in the Medal Play Scratch indistinct form.
-2a category: players with handicap between 14.5 and 24 4. It will be held to 36 holes over two consecutive days in the Medal Play Handicap indistinct form.
-3a category; Players with a handicap equal to or exceeding 24.5. It will be held to 36 holes over two consecutive days under the Stableford indistinct.
