CLUB DE CAMPO VILLA DE MADRID

 

Club de Campo Villa de Madrid as one of the ancient and best golf courses in Madrid, being also one of the most important courses of Madrid Golf in all Europe and has been quite popular course on The European Tour for many years. The Club was born in 1929 in the outskirts of Madrid city, and still nowadays is one of the biggest sports clubs with 36 holes on two different and potential courses.

The “Black course”, designed by Javier Arana, was founded in 1956, has been the venue of  8 editions of the Spanish Open, 8 Madrid Masters/Madrid Open and the World Cup in 1965. The other course, renamed as the «Yellow» was designed by Severiano Ballesteros  in 1993 and it is also quite popular.

Top players as Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie, Eduardo Romero, Sam Torrance, Retief Goosen o Charl Schwartzel… has been played there and won tournaments at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
