Last week was the gala for the Royal Order of Sporting Merit Medals awarded four golfers: Sergio Garcia, who was awarded the gold; Rafael Cabrera Bello, Pablo Larrazabal and Jon Rahm, who were awarded the bronze.
The National Art Centre Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid has been the place were Medals of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit handed over by the Higher Sports Council.
The ceremony was presided by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Iñigo Mendez de Vigo and President of the Higher Sports Council and Chancellor of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit (ROMD), Miguel Cardenal.
The distinctions of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit in its different categories, plaques and medals of gold, silver and bronze, are granted to persons or entities in recognition to its sporting successes or his contribution to the development of Spanish sport.
