Real Club La Moraleja · Course 2

Moraleja 2 is the one to book if your group likes to hit driver. It is longer than Course 1, with more room off the tee and bigger greens.

Bigger targets don’t make it soft. Four large lakes come into play on six holes, and the 16th asks for a brave shot to a green with water almost all the way round.

Ian Poulter won the Madrid Open here in 2006. It is the Moraleja we suggest most often to groups with mixed handicaps.

Who it suits

Groups with mixed handicaps

It is the most forgiving of the four off the tee, so the high handicapper in the group enjoys it as much as the single-figure player.

Players who want a proper test of length without the tight lines of Course 1.

If your group can only play La Moraleja once, this is often the course we suggest first.

How a round here works

Monday to Thursday, booked ahead

La Moraleja is a private members’ club. Visitors play Monday to Thursday, except public holidays, and only with a tee time booked in advance.

We book it with the club and send you the confirmation in writing before you fly. Your visitor round comes with a buggy, range balls, a picnic and a welcome pack.

Bring your handicap certificate or your home club card. We check the club’s handicap requirement for your group when we book, so nobody finds out at the first tee.

Rental clubs and a driver from your hotel can be added to the same booking. The price depends on the day, the season and the size of your group, and we confirm it together with your tee time.

Location

La Moraleja, 15 minutes from the airport

Moraleja 2 sits inside La Moraleja, the leafy residential estate on the northern edge of Madrid. Course 2 has its own entrance at Camino Viejo del Cura 76, 28055 Madrid, a few minutes from the Course 1 clubhouse.

From Puerta del Sol it is roughly 15 km, around 20 to 30 minutes by car or taxi depending on traffic, up the Castellana and out on the A-1.

Madrid-Barajas airport is about 15 minutes away, which makes it an easy first or last round of the trip.
