El Robledal Golf, Madrid

El Robledal golf is part of the new Madrid’s Golf Courses Association which intends to sum up and position Madrid as reference golf destination in Europe. This project is endorsed by Madrid Tourism Association and Madrid’s Golf Federation, amongst others.

El Robledal Golf madrid is a magnificent golf course, located in a natural environment in the East region of the Comunidad de Madrid, in the area known as the Corredor de Henares.  The golf course is located next to the charming village of Villalbilla, which is only 10 km away from the small city of Alcalá de Henares.

The area where we find the golf course is considered Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since December of 1998 and the Capital of Culture of Madrid. Home of Carpetans, Romans, Muslims, Jews and Christians Alcalá has forged a rich cultural legacy for over 2000 years. All of them left their prints in the city making it a beautiful mixture of all of them in one that we can enjoy today walking by its streets and plazas.

They treasure important archaeological sites, a medieval arrangement of streets, a chaotic division of the neighborhoods in the different religious identities, that allowed the three cultures and the three religions to live in peace for centuries.
