El Robledal golf is part of the new Madrid’s Golf Courses Association which intends to sum up and position Madrid as reference golf destination in Europe. This project is endorsed by Madrid Tourism Association and Madrid’s Golf Federation, amongst others.
El Robledal Golf madrid is a magnificent golf course, located in a natural environment in the East region of the Comunidad de Madrid, in the area known as the Corredor de Henares. The golf course is located next to the charming village of Villalbilla, which is only 10 km away from the small city of Alcalá de Henares.
The area where we find the golf course is considered Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since December of 1998 and the Capital of Culture of Madrid. Home of Carpetans, Romans, Muslims, Jews and Christians Alcalá has forged a rich cultural legacy for over 2000 years. All of them left their prints in the city making it a beautiful mixture of all of them in one that we can enjoy today walking by its streets and plazas.
They treasure important archaeological sites, a medieval arrangement of streets, a chaotic division of the neighborhoods in the different religious identities, that allowed the three cultures and the three religions to live in peace for centuries.
El Robledal Golf, during the past years has invested in different reformations which included the update of their facilities and the remodeling of the golf course. It has: a course with 18 holes with a distance of 6 km. Its an interesting par 72 course, technical with slight undulations in which we can find a wide variety of short, medium and long holes.
Thanks to its prestigious well known professionals, such us Fernando del Amo and Carlos Beesmans, those who aren’t Pro’s yet will find in El Robledal the best place to get started in this sport, being able to enjoy it in a one-to-one class or in groups at their academy. Also there are classes for the smaller members of the family.
Along this past season they’ve been hosts of many of the competitions organized by Madrid’s Golf Federation, such as: The Circuito de Madrid de Profesionales, many of the sub 25 Tournaments, sub 18 y cadete, and many of the children’s tournaments of the Federation, and we can’t forget Madrid’s 4th category Championship.
After all the exercise, you can relax at their Club House specially at its restaurant which is managed by Eduardo Muñoz, one of the best chefs of the Corredor de Henares and be delighted by the best views of the whole golf course. The Club house also has comfortable changing rooms, lockers to keep the golf clubs and a both for renting buggies, golf carts and a ProShop
